…so are we and we’d love to see you. oDesk is exhibiting at the Web 2.0 Expo in San Francisco next week. If you are planning to be there, please stop by our booth to say “hello” and enjoy a treat. We’ll be in one of the kiosks in the Long-Tail Pavilion.

We’re really excited about the conference. It’s a great opportunity to see what’s new and meet new people, not to mention that former oBlogger, Dave McClure, is a program co-chair.

We have made our release log page public. While we figure out where to effectively place it in the application/website, you can access it by clicking here:

What’s New page: https://my.odesk.com/console/whats_new.php

There is a lot of information on new features (what they do and why they were developed), and insights into the oDesk philosophy about service to our users.

We will be making regular blog posts about the new features as they are rolled out. Here are some older blog posts that you can access:

oDesk @ Web 2.0 Launch Pad

For all the folks in San Francisco this week for the Web 2.0 Conference, look for oDesk to be demoing on the Web 2.0 Launch Pad tomorrow, Tuesday November 7th.

oDesk was selected as one of 13 Launch Pad companies, from over 250 that applied for this year’s conference. (must have been the flowers and chocolate chip cookies we sent to both John Battelle and Mike Arrington ;)

Look for us to make a few notable announcements tomorrow, and if you’re at the event we’ll be happy to give you a cool oDesk Making Geeks Rich & Famous t-shirt.

For some of you, it may be surprising that oDesk is just now announcing its launch.

After all, so many talented tech workers from around the world have been using oDesk to find great gigs. And companies all over the world have tapped our network to find great people, irrespective of their physical location.

Well, while we’re very proud of how far we’ve come, we at oDesk are ready to work with our community to take things to the next level.

For starters, we are excited to unveil our venture capital backers. It’s great to have the super smart people at Globespan Capital and Sigma Partners see the promise of our vision. And while we’ve been in silent mode so long, we’ve now started talking to the media as well. We’re off to a great start, to say the least- check out our profile in Business Week.

And that’s not all. We’re thrilled to announce the launch of the oDesk blog, or oBlog. Stay tuned for the latest discussions on the future of work, how to grow a business using remote talent, and getting ahead by being your own boss. Most importantly, the blog is a way for us to have a conversation with our great community- so please don’t hesitate to comment whenever you get a chance.
