In regards to Payment and Biling
There are coders / freelancers who are working on big projects under which there are more then 1 Team memeber and the company don't want to open the name and contact details of the client to the development team (Employees) for security reasons, So how can oDesk help in that
And also when a team of 5 from a single company is working on a Single project of a Client from odesk then how can be the hours and logs can be maintain and how will the payment work.
Also, We want to know the Minimum and the Maximum Limit of Deposit by buyer and withdraw from Coders in a day / week / month
And what oDesk has only one day in a month for he release of Payment for the work done by the team for him
Hope these are few main issue on which oDesk has to think over.

Currently it is not possible to hide professionals' contact details from the Buyer or the Buyer's details from the professionals.
When a team of several professionals are working on the same project, each of them needs to have their own oDesk account to be able to log time. These can be either freelancers account (in which case, each professional is getting paid separately) or they can be united under an affiliate (in which case all the payment goes to Affiliate Manager account).
As for the deposits, we check Buyer's credit cards for $100. But remember that the Buyer only pays on the week following the week of work, in case of hourly-based project (the amount paid is the number of the hours worked by the provider multiplies by the hourly rate) or upon the completion of the project in case of Fixed Priced project.
There is currently no limit on the amount that can be withdrawn from oDesk, but there may be limits set by the payment processors themselves on how much money can be withdrawn from your account with them - please check their websites regarding it.
Currently, we do pay our proivders once a month, but we are moving towards a weekly cycle, see node/895
Let me know if there are any further questions.
Regards,
Olga

Great to see such a detailed response.

June 15th (tomorrow) is payday for May earnings. I have already communicated with everyone who signed up for their card by late May to arrange payment for this period.
If you sent me an email, you will be paid via the oDesk MasterCard. If not, you will be paid via your current payment method; if you are a new oDesk payee, you will be paid via Moneybookers, unless you are in the US you will be paid via ACH/Direct Deposit.
In just a couple of weeks, this will all be self-service. Stay tuned!

Michael, at some places on odesk its mentioned that we can be paid daily and withdraw daily....... You can't understand that as a service provider we have team to whom we have to pay every month and as per the payment structure you are paying us ever 45th day, which is not fair......
Also what MAIL you mentioned, We are not aware of that.... We have got card from Payoneer and want to be get paid for the work we are doing............. its making us affraid of getting money from oDesk after a long gap..
Thanks

We are loading the oDesk Payoneer cards today, and OTL, you are on the list to receive payment via your card.
As for the 45th day, I couldn't agree more! Thankfully, we will be launching our new payment system within the next couple of weeks, which will mean your funds become available continuously. More information on this soon.

Hi,
We are from otechnolabs and have a account on oDesk. On 29th May 07 around we were been selected for a project... GBN
As decided we were suppose to complete the project on 5th of July aorund... We have done more then 50% of the job as assigned..... As discussed we were suppose to complete the Version 1 by today and we did that with the design we made.... But the client offered us the new design from some other designer who passed is the JPG on last friday and we requested them to be HTML for the integration with the codes........ As per commitment we completed the Version 1 today but client says that we have not achieved the commitment as he need the version 1 to be live today with new design which is not at all possible as it has more then 20 pages..........We are requesting him to grant a day more to complete the work but he is saying no to it... Now if we imforrce all my team member then also it will be possible only tomorow evening (india) time.
In regards to payments we agreed on USD 15 per man hour and to devote manpower on 24 hour basis with a team of 5 in each 3 shifts.... we are doing the same with 15 hours daily and with 5 developers... and are also giving invoice of these 5 only, we are not cheating the client..... and also we have payoneer card on which the only payment we received from this client which is USD 50 is been rejected....... We have not got any amount from the client for such a big project and we have completed 50%........... So we requested to make a small amount payment outside odesk as the client is having many companies working for him on different project and said to us that odesk has asked for more credentials of verification fro his side and he agreed to pay a small amount through ccavanue, but we don't have ccavanue so we suggested him paypal / xoom but he said not for these and said that he will only do the payment through ccavanue or odesk.
Now after this long work done for him, he is saying that he is cancelling the project and will report odesk on this issue...and we know that odesk will be towards the Buyer / client as he has many project going with odesk and odesk will never go in loss of such a client..
BUT NOW WE ARE IN LOSS AS WE HAVE INVESTED MONEY, MANPOWER, INFRASTRUCTURE HERE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT AND COMPLETETION OF MORE THEN 50% OF THE PROJECT.........
WE DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO NOW AND WE WANT ODESK TO SOLVE THIS ISSUE......
I am attaching the latest chat which help between me and the client...
WAITING FOR RESPONSE.
THANKS
SURAAJ
here is the chat with the client----- I request you to please guide me what to do before contacting the client

hi, I've just read the full chat log and think of being on Scott's situation
and Suraaj's situation. I would like to give my thoughts about this.
If I were Scott, I will really be frustrated by not completing the job as
per deadline and not following strict instructions given, noted that my
job and reputation is on the line.
If I were Suraaj, I will be pressured because what I aim is to reduce
costs, thats why I decided to lessen the time in development.
As of this situation, for me, I can't tell who's wrong or who's right.
I mean no offense in words that I've said, if there are any. I hope this
conflict would be resolved if it is not yet resolved as of this moment.

Now the buyer ended the project....
You can also understand that now we are in loss...
We commited for Version 1 to be completed by today and its there completed.... Not the client passed us New jpg of the pages on friday and for version 1 there will be more than 40 pages which all we have to convert to HTML and then integrate the codes.....
What should we do now......
Its the very fisrt and bad experience with oDesk of us.
Please help

I'm not affiliated with oDesk in any way other than that I'm a provider here, but I do have a question for you guys:
Was this an hourly job, or a "fixed bid" job?
