Hello guys, I am Hemang Dani, I would like to share my very first experience with payoneer. I just thought to pen down, It may be of help to fellow providers in how to operate the same.
Payoneer is a private money transfer process, It uses Master Card. oDesk has a tie up with payoneer to provide an alternate money transfer process to its providers world wide. It definately is a very good option, considering the amount of money moneybookers charges to providers on remittance. Payoneer.com has a full trust on oDesk and has offered a very good process to oDesk card holders.
The process payoneer has offered is, one has to register to payoneer using odesk email Id and make a request for the card. While filling the details one has to ensure that address fields may or may not accommodate your complete details, In that context you can always reach up to oDesk Support and they will be definitely ensuring your postal details. Once the details are keyed in. After a span of 2 - 3 business days you get a notification from payoneer about the status of registration. If your request is accepted based upon my experience, I was been shipped the card in 10 working days. Remember working day is considered from Mon - Fri only. Once you have the card with you, you have to activate your card. Activation of card involves adding your card number, post logging in your account and generating a pin code number for you. Please note Pin code number is a 4 digit numeric code and you have to ensure that you do not leak out this to anyone. Once you have activated your card. It does not mean you can start withdrawing, You can only withdraw, if you have funds in your account. What I mean by that is, you can only withdraw, if you see in your payoneer account online, on top left funds in card balance field.
Please note, your process is verified only if you have rec'd your first payment on payoneer from oDesk. If you have received a payment outside oDesk on your oDesk card over payoneer, you shall have to explicitly verify yourself. This is for security reasons. Indeed is a good practice and provider support is highly appreciated there.
Payoneer verification is a two step process,
Step 1 - Please provide payoneer a copy of your photo Id, This may be your driver's license copy scanned or your PAN Number(For Indians) scanned and submitted, This takes about 2 business days. Once you have done that if your copy is clear you are verified, If not you have to go to step2.
Step 2 - Payoneer shall withdraw an amount less than 3 USD from the card of the peron who has transferred funds to you on your oDesk card. This amount shall be under the name of Payoneer Limited. Your client can either telecon with his bank and check the amount so debited or check his online statement and see the amount so debited. Once he comes to know the amount debited, He can complete the last verification step of keying in teh exact amount so debited along with the card he has used for transferring funds to you. This is a again a 2 - 3 business day process.
Post successfully done, and you are verified, Payoneer, accepts the load and guarantees you a date of loading teh amount on your card. They shall the definitely load that amount either on the date predefined or before that. Once done you can see the amount credited on your account over payoneer.com on top left in card balance field.
The process to withdraw funds is pretty simple, Once you know the amount shown in your card balance. You visit a near by ATM which allows Master Card, Please note payoneer offeres a daily withdrawal of 1000 USD, But your ATM may or may not allow you to withdraw 1000 USD per day. So, Please do check before making a withdrawal. Please note that during withdrawal you shall get three options describing the type of account you hold. Please select current, The other options available are saving and credit card. Please note that each transaction so been done through an ATM outside US, has an international charge of 2.25 USD. The withdrawal receipt you may get, may not have your balance shown, so post process of transaction, do ensure to check your account online and see the amount withdraw and the charges levied.
In all these stages of doing, Please note the payoneer support is as excellent as oDesk support and they answer your queries and concerns to your satisfaction. Please use them as effectively as you can for all your queries.
