Whats the best thing to do when a buyer lumps additional tasks into a fixed price job, and hints towards negative feedback threats to get you to complete the work.
Ive been trying to sign off this job days now since i have completed the actual task, but the "small" fixups have spewed over into existing code errors that were there to begin with. At first it was one here and there, but now im on my 3rd day of constant little fix ups to "get the page right" so we can sign off and move onto the next job they say.
The problem is this buyer is sly and cunning and I expect if I end the task now, having done allot more then the initial task was meant to be, they will leave negative feedback.
Its situations like this that I feel its hard to stand up to a buyer. They have the upper hand.

Hi mbiegel,
The recommended advice is on this page:
http://www.odesk.com/help/help/policies/dispute_policy
It seems that the best course of action to take is to identify the task that was laid out in the brief, to show how you have fulfilled that task and to send this to oDesk support and request which policy should be followed to establish a resolution.
Other than that, I can't see an alternative. If you have your communications between yourself and the buyer, make sure they are date and time stamped and do not alter them after they are created. If required, these can be used as evidence in any dispute.
Good luck,
Andrew Whitfield

Just don't do fixed price jobs. That's it.
