Questions about affiliate companies

I'm interested in how affiliate businesses work, and I would appreciate it if someone could inform me about these things. How much do affiliate companies generally earn when other providers work for them? How large is the share in percentages usually? I understand that this is negotiable, but can you give me some general guidelines? Thanks.

Thank you for your interest in creating a provider company. Please be aware that the provider company is responsible for paying affiliated contractors. It is not yet possible to do an automatic payment percentage split between you and the AC in the oDesk billing system (that feature is coming soon).
