Inappropriate Job Openings

Hello,

What I'd like to see is some technique to better manage new job openings that are being posted.

Every day I see at least 1 or 2 job openings from providers that are asking for work.  This is very frustrating.  You think you receive new job openings in your email inbox and than you find a bunch of those.  I don't have time to look at them nor do I want to.

Are these people getting suspended from Odesk?  or is the job opening merely closed.  It's nice advertising for those people to get noticed that way.  Because they stay in the database so everybody can still see them and I'm sure there is somebody that will reply to them also to see if they can hire them.

I don't know if there is already but there should be some sort of penalty for this kind of behavior.

I guess some can be an accident but lots that I see are just plain self promotion on the job boards.

Please see what you can do about this.

Frankly, people posting jobs

Frankly, people posting jobs looking for work are unlikely to find it to be successful. And whenever oDesk sees one, we close it immediately. If the person does it again, then action may be taken against the user. If you see one, flag it as inappropriate.

I have noticed an increase

I have noticed an increase in the number of these openings coming into my job notifications as well (and I don't even subscribe to the high-traffic categories).

It's up to us to flag these people for oDesk... Usually, I'll take a minute of my time and flag these "job postings", but it would be nice to know that there are tools implemented that show oDesk staff very clearly when a second offense has occurred and that furthermore, both Buyer and Provider accounts linked to the posting are being quickly suspended after the second offense...
