Rate Distributions by Job Categories
Overview
All of the following charts and tables contain rate information based on the last 365 days of hourly jobs performed on the oDesk network. This includes the information on actual rates earned on jobs with oDesk's guaranteed payment system. It does not include general profile rates. Job categories are entered by oDesk buyers upon posting the job on the network.
The following table lists the data grouped by the Job Categories available on oDesk. The number of assignments indicates the number of jobs factored into the table and the Hourly Charge Rate reflects an average actual bill rate for work performed on oDesk.

Hi Doreenmartel!
I recently registered here on the oDesk site and i think its pretty awesome. So I've been looking around at the hourly pay rates for web designers and content writers. My question is this, since you have alot more experience using oDesk, what would be the average hourly rate for web designers, especially front end coders that you have noticed? I hope that you would not mind sharing your views, I want to be considerate and not over price or under price what I can offer so I would luv to hear your input on this, would appreciate it.
