Buyers Beware - No oDesk support
Buyers beware. I have used many outsourcing services and have been using oDesk for about 1 month. I like the variety of suppliers and was happy with them until I used one woman. She kept saying she'd send me my project and i believed her. Then she stopped responding to me and after 3 days i closed the project because I didn't get anything from her. I guess that was my big mistake. Once closed i couldn't stop her from being paid. I entered 3 help tickets. I called and left oDesk messages (no one answers the phone at their office and the owners voicemail boxes are full). I finally figured out how to dispute her hours and did that.
Posting messages in the forum was the only way i could get a response. The forum said they'd call me but that hasn't happened. Yesterday they tried to charge my credit card for her hours but i blocked my credit card. Unfortunately, there are other providers that won't be paid because i had to take this drastic approach.
So the moral of the story is don't use oDesk. Their customer service/support is non-existent. They cannot support the service they have created. It is fine until you have a problem, then it is hopeless.

No way. Where are YOU looking? I'm looking in the Message Center under "Tickets". There are no responses. I've only had automated responses about disputed being handled via the "dispute form". I filled that out and my credit card still got charged for her NON-service. Why is that?

I truly want to understand the confusion here. Did you not open up the message? Was it not clear where to see the response?

I am looking at the tickets you have logged and see you got a response to
every singe one of them. Did you not receive these responses at all or are you
saying you did not like the answers given?
We have absolutely given you a response and want to better understand where
the disconnect occurred.
