World clock - see what time it is where your providers / buyers are

One thing I've learned since I started using odesk:  I have a complete inability to do timezone math in my head.  I'm GMT -700, they're GMT +530.  What time is it there?  Who knows.

Solution:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/setpersonal.html

You pick the cities you're interested in, and they set a cookie on your browser.

Result: you have a personalized web page with the local time in the cities you care about.  Problem solved.

 Hope that helps someone.

GWorldClock

I was using timeanddate.com before switching to GWorldClock applet available in Ubuntu 7.10.

Pothi.

wait about 9 hours...

...an upgrade to the Team Room UI is being launched tonight, and it will show the local time for each of your team members.

Good timing!

Hi Michael,  Ah, that's

Hi Michael,

 Ah, that's excellent!

"Good timing" - no pun intended?

I not only have to deal

I not only have to deal with working with people in other timezones - but I frequently change timezones myself. So remembering the relative time difference is impossible.

I love the new timezone feature of the new Team Room. And think that will be perfect for most users. But I have to calculate times not just for work, but to talk to friends and family as well. So here's my two solutions:

FoxClocks - (FireFox only) displays the current time in selected timezones in the FireFox status bar.

TimeScroller - (Mac/iPhone only) shows the current time in selected timezones on my dashboard - and lets me scroll ahead to see what time it will be.
