Help,
RE: Initial registration process: contact information page, Yahoo Messenger IC
When I attempt the Download for windows, I receive an error message with the status, "You cannot log in with Team without an active assignment." When I am trying to complete the contact information the dircetions say there has to be an Yahoo Messanger IC and then it has a Download button, please advise.

If you've gotten to that message, you've successfully installed the oDesk Team client. As it says, you can't log in without an active assignment. You'll be granted access to the pioneer training team room to test it out when you complete your registration.
Please complete the registration process. As you said, this requires a Yahoo ID. Please provide one you already have (same as used for Yahoo email, personalized homepage, groups, etc), or sign up for a new ID at http://messenger.yahoo.com/.
Once you've finished registering, you'll be able to fill out your provider profile, test out logging time with the oDesk Team client, and take the oDesk Readiness Test. Then you can apply to jobs. Please post back if you have any more questions.
