oDesk API request
Hi,
I tried to use the RSS feed which is great for most purposes, but I would like to be able to get more data.
I'm building a website for Coldfusion/Flex/AIR related work/jobs and freelancers. To not only provide the jobs and freelancers signed up at that site, I would like to add a special oDesk section to it, to display related jobs and developers.
It would be great to have a API available that will give me more information about the jobs/providers so I can place them on a map and give some sort of filter functionality to the searches. It's also very handy because if you have a API available, I could also build a small notifier widget so that users can see instantly when there are interesting jobs available.
Would love to know if you are able and willing to provide this kind of service so we can build more around oDesk ourselves as a community!

As a developer that wants to recruit team members from many places online, having something like this would greatly benefit me in my quest to do this (I'm waiting for the new teams system, which will hopefully allow me to pay people within the Odesk System).
I am interested in building a team around a fairly specific set of skills, and the ability to rebroadcast filtered job-postings through an API would interest me greatly, since I could add it to my website as a recruitment tool.

on Fri, 2008-08-29 00:49.We hear you! These types of APIs are absolutely in the queue, but we do not yet have the infrastructure here to release them. We are currently working on APIs for the team room and work diary screensnaps, and next is time/task tracking, all of which we have had many many requests for. After that, we will move to the kind of hiring, profile, and feed APIs you are describing.

As developer I would say that odesk developers must work to make odesk more stable and bug free, and only after this work on any API or somehting else.

I sent your last past to our developers, and they've been discussing what they can and cannot add to the feed. This request has some more specifics about how you'd like to use the data, and I think that may help them.
