Taking Tests

I am just starting out using oDesk. I am using an Apple Powermac G5 computer using Safari and Firefox browsers. When I try to take the readiness test, the page with the first question doesn't load. The instructions say to use Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator, both of which I don't have available. Shouldn't the testing website be compliant with any browser?
