odesk did not forward the paypal notify mail to me

I changed the paypal pramary mail to the odesk one, and paypal said a notification mail has been sent, but I did not get it, is there anything wrong?

First, please check all

First, please check all junk/spam folders. Paypal emails have a tendency to get lost in those, depending which email service you use. On PayPal, you don't actually have to make your oDesk address your primary email, you just have to add it to the account and confirm it.

All emails sent to youruserID@odesk.com are forwarded the personal email address we have on file. Do you receive any emails at your oDesk address? You can test your forwarding by sending yourself a message at your oDesk address. Please make sure that works, then double check the address you gave to PayPal. Perhaps there was a typo. Finally, tell PayPal to resend the confirmation email.

Balance still not transfered from ODesk to Paypal after 12 days

Hello,

My buyer paid my work through Odesk last 17 august.

The balance is still on Odesk since last 23 of august.

I have confirmed my credit card with the 4 digit needed in Paypal, and still after 12 days the payment has not been sent to my account.

Could you please help me and let me know if I need to do something else to be paid fro Odesk? 

It is quite annoying already.

I know this question will sound silly, but just to double check - have you actually withdrawn the money to Paypal (going though the Withdraw tab) and receive a confirmation that the money was sent from oDesk to Paypal?

Hello Olga,

there are no silly questions at all...in fact no I didn't do it as there is no guideline on Odesk which explains the correct steps to follow in order to unlock the balance.

Now I have done it and it worked.

In any case I would suggest to Odesk to create a full steps guideline at least for newcomers...
