I work at home

The main reason I work at home is I have a debilitating eye disease that prevents me from driving. I am not close enough to public transportation to take advantage of it and work in an office anymore. I have been working at home for more than 15 years but only about 2 of those years have been as a freelancer. I was laid off from my last work at home job which was in the financial industry.

Why I work at home

I like working at home for  3 reasons. 1. spend more time with hubby and my 2 teenagers. 2. I can keep an eye on my rebeling 15 year old who thinks she is god gift of teenagers. Last I can work at my own paste. I can take off if I need to, or work late, or a 1/2 day. I can even a vacation when I want. That is why I like to work at home.

I want to save my future

I want to save my future

Language

I an far from being fluent in Greek, so finding a regular job is difficult.

Working online gives me an income!

Good reason Martyn

That's a great reason, but I don't think working as a freelance writer in English is doing much to help your Greek.

For me it's a combination-- we don't have to pay child care because I'm always home, and I bring in extra money this way.

lol

lol.  I thought the same thing when I read Martyn's response.

I work from home because I got the shaft on the day-job I relocated for...so without any leads, this was the quickest way for both me and my husband to get some income coming in after bleeding our 401K(s) dry.

Hi! I want to be a part of this business.to make some additional income because i am a single mom of my son who has a muscle problem.to help me in my financial problem in buying his medicine.

Thank You

Multiple Reasons

I really have a bunch of reasons why I like/want to work from home.

  • Flexibility
  • Work 24/7 if you want or need the money
  • No need to spent all your hard earn money on Gas for your car
  • No business clothing to buy or special lunches
  • A lot better job security, so many people are losing their jobs these days which is very scary to me. Internet work pretty much is endless and will not abruptly stop.
  • I'm originally from The Netherlands but live in the USA, if something should happen at home I do not have to compromise or beg for a couple of weeks off to go home. I can take my work with me all over the world without the risk of losing work.
  • My boyfriend is very sick and needs assistance at home
  • I like to work for myself and decide what/when/where and for whom I work
  • You don't have to watch the clock for a work day to end and hurry up an assignment before company closing. Work can be done any hour of the day so will result in better results and no sloppy quick finish.
  • No people that bug you all day long or gossips you have to listen to.  No issues or frustration with colleagues that do not do their job as they supposed to.
  • No boss looking over your shoulder
  • The freedom to reject and accept any job you want

I can go on and on really.  LOL.

good list there. Very

good list there. Very similar to my reasoning. I don't want to get rusty being out of the loop, I NEED the flexibility as I have children, the money never hurts either. smile.

i agree!

working at home gives us freedom of choice and help balance our responsibilities in the home front =)

Commuting is hell

I was commuting nearly two hours a day, so I almost welcomed being laid off.  The gas expenses were eating up a huge chunk of my salary.  While job hunting, it turned out most of the jobs in my area are at least as far away as my old job, so I thought I'd try working from home to keep commuting expenses from taking back whatever money I was making.

I work at home..

because I am a full time student and putting in long hours a location job is less flexible for my busy schedule.

Because I can sit in my

Because I can sit in my fuzzy pink bunny slippers and matching bathrobe, watch the quail walk past my window, and still be at work?

If I ever get a job here Sad

Wow

#1 in English test, I'm impressed. Have you learned html yet? If you can do some creative writing as well I'm sure you can find many who will hire you. Remember apply to as many jobs as you can, applying for a job that may be a tiny bit above your current skill level won't hurt either if you believe you can learn it quickly. Having money on the line is a good motivator to learn.

The least you travel is 4 hours

In my city, the least you travel for a daily job is 2 hours each way. That's 4 hours more I can work if I work at home.

 Yo can do the math.

i want to work from home because....

i am a borderline agorophic. i am struggling to find steady work from home, but i dont know how to get noticed. this is all new for me. any helpful ideas would be greatly appericeated.

Working from home

I want to work from home as we are a military family and we re-locate every 2 to 3 years. This gives me the opportunity to work and keep a job from whatever location we are living in. Plus the flexibility is great due to my husbands travel.

Combo

Mine is a combo of not wanting to commute, getting paid more, flexibility, and stay-at-home parent.

I go to college.

I go to college and have other things that i do, so to have a job outside of the house makes things more difficult.

I want to work from home because

I am physically challenged, ( having 3 disc removed from my cervical spine) and it is better and far more convenient to work from home.

Reasons for Working From Home

My reasons are simple

I'm a single mother/full time law student.  My schedule is absolutely hectic to the very essence of the word. I NEED to work from home. I have a ton of experience in a regular office setting and figured I could apply my skills in this kind of environment and be a success. I just need my first job to get things started.

Worthy reasons for remote working from Russia, Ukraine etc.

1. Adequate management of personal time.
2. Adequate compensation for the attention paid, as well as the time spent.
3. Adequate application of inborn abilities and present skills.
4. Higher possibility to work in really fundamental project.

I am a disabled person

I got a disease some time ago which caused my legs to stop working. I am working online to make myself stable.

I want to work from home because...

I am borderline agoraphobic, I have degenerative joint disease, and Fibromyalgia, I became disabled in 2004.  Prior to being disabled I have over 12 years experience as an executive assistant/personal assistant/administrative assistant/human resources assistant, I believe that I would be an asset to any ones team.  I have been seeking work at home jobs since April of 2008 as anyone that is disabled knows the money is not great.  Take care and God bless Smiley

working for Odata.com

My wife & I are both dis-abled.She cant find a job. she was born with C.P & we have a 15year old son. I myself have been working for  Pitney-Bowes for 18+years & am only making $ 12.64 per hour.We need help,& hopefully, your CO. can provide it. Yours Sincerely Paul & Joyce  Wright.

why be a corporate slave???when you can earn at your own pace...

I  am getting tired or working and being pushed around to meet deadlines and company metrics. I am overworked but underpaid corporate slave! I would like to enjoy the freedom of doing things at my own pace and be well compensated for a job nicely done.

I am thrilled to start working online at the comfort of my home. My kids will be delighted to see me around the house everyday now!

well said

I share the same sentiment with you. There's nothing wrong with working in an office environment, but the pressures and politics all get to you. I guess some of us are more productive as telecommute professionals. Peace out!

Mike

Disability

Because of disability I am not able to work full-time. For this reason I have been working from home since I was 16.

ALL of the ABOVE (1, 2, 4)

I don't want to commute... I want to make some additional income... I like the flexibility... So, I thought I would sign up & see where things go from there.Smiley

First I Thought I could Earn Extra Income...

...from online freelancing, but during my serendipitous journey here online, I found out that can actually earn more being a freelancer than working in my country as a programmer

Who knew? So today, this is my main stream and offline works are my back-up jobs.

More Power!
