When is a job considered closed?

I have been viewing the job ads and have noticed that there seems to be some that date back to April, surely these jobs are no longer opened or valid. They have had hundreds of applicants and a number of interviews. How do you know when the job is taken, does it get removed from the Ads or does it just stay there until the 45 days is up and then expires or something?
Any ides?

The job openings expire 30
The job openings expire 30 days after being posted. Som Buyers close their job openings after a provider is hire, some prefer to keep them open, so they can get more aplicants and choose a different provider in case the one they hired doesn't work out.
Even if the job opening does appear in the list of jobs, you will not be able to apply for it if it has expired. I will check with Engineering as to why some of the job openings remain visible and let you know.
