installing Tools

Hello - I have tried to download the O desk tools, and each time I do, I click on the file shortcut, and nothing happens. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall, and go to program files and choose the app., but again, nothing happens. Can someone let me know what I'm doing wrong? I don't usually have problems like this, but this is stumping me. Thanks!
