pinoys, lets talk..=)
it's so UNFAIR! My first interview was very disappointing. The potential buyer asked me things about my qualifications and about my rate and I thought for a while: I'll be hired because he kept saying, "Good". But when he asked me "where do you live" and I answered Philippines, he started ignoring me!
*sigh*
Hi everyone..
I've been receiving quite a number of ym invitations..
Don't you think it's better if we open a group or set a specific time for a conference so we can share ideas??
just a suggestion..
I am online everyday, especially after 6pm

another confused pinoy here...
I was just wondering---how can i be hired and get a feedback if all the buyers are looking for providers with 3.5+ feedback on them? I just joined oDesk last Nov. and I am really having a hard time feeling my way around. i had invites for interviews, but one of them said I don't have the right accent or whatever. Do you think i have to pass IELTS too?
...just kidding there...but seriously, will somebody please help me get the hang of things around here? And you're all right about the pinoys' attitude and dedication to their work...let's keep it up...have a great day/night all and thanks...
keep on applying
Yea, Angel. Don't lose hope. Just keep on applying for jobs as long as you can..
I think that buyer isn't aware that Filipinos are superb providers.
you got that right!
you got that right!

im new in Odesk and im having a hard time to be interviewed. nasa list na ako ng candidates pro hanggang dun lang. ndi na ako na-iinterview. paano ba dpt ggwin ko? suggestions? please. .
hello
would you let me view your profile?
Hi Timothy...
I would suggest that you take the test for the softwares you have enumerated in your profile, it will definitely put some highlights in your resume and if you did not ace it the first time, you can always try taking it again, for those test you want to improve.

Phillippinos are typically hard working and competent
Hi - I'm a new job poster running a small online web shop out of Canada and started to cruising the boards to get a sense of Odesk in general. Sorry to hear about the BS, but I've outsourced to the Philippines and it was great. Don't fret over a biased seller. Your home country has a great reputation in my books and I know many people in Canada feel the same way.
Good luck with the jobs.
I am very sorry about your
I am very sorry about your experience, as oDesk highly encourages cooperation between Providers and Buyers no matter where in the world they are. But don't let this dicourage you from applying to other job openings. I am sure you will get a job here at oDesk in the long run, just like many of other providers from your country.
By the way, if you haven't yet come across this thread, do look into it.
Good luck,
Olga
