Scheduled Maintenance

Hi Everyone,

oDesk.com is back online. For those of you wondering what has changed, we added capacity to our production databases during this maintenance window which we expect will improve site response time.

Many of you have noticed that oDesk.com was running very slowly yesterday as a result of a massive increase in traffic. oDesk provider, Cheryl L., was featured on Good Morning America which attracted a lot of attention.

While we're delighted to see so many new faces on oDesk, we want to apologize to everyone for the site sluggishness yesterday. Adding more database capacity tonight will enable us to restore normal site performance and leave us better prepared for future traffic spikes - we hope they become more common.
