I am getting frustrated by Odesk limited oppurtunities

Dear Friends,
I have been trying to get myself a job. Eventhough I am pretty eperienced . I have not got any oppurtunities to work. I am not sure as to why the oppurtunities are so rare...I thought Odesk is one of the finest things to exist for work from home moms... alas this is so much untrue... Any tips for me or for new commers....
thanks

Your profile
I think your profile is giving you more than one problem. There are many options here for advice and the first I'd recommend to you is this:
A) Take a look at oConomy and find out what rates are competitive in the field you're trying to get work - your rate is high for a 'beginner' regardless of your experience outside of oDesk;
B) Upload a photo of yourself or some catchy graphic that fits with your personality;
C) Tests - you've taken only oDesk exams and the scores are a little on the low side - you might want to consider retaking the oDesk readiness test since there's no barrier to doing so and 'hide' the one that you scored low on; - Also take some tests that fit with the skills you're offering;
D) Portfolio - if you have any portfolio of work you might want to consider adding it to your profile. If not, you might consider creating some;
E) Since you have no oDesk hours to establish your credibility perhaps another option is to sign up for a free LinkedIn account and request recommendations from prior employers which can help add to your credibility.
I'm sure others who have far more knowledge than I can help you further but these are the things I'd start with.
Good luck! Doreen
