Question about payment page
On the last page of the hiring process, there is an hourly rate. It does not seem to be fixed. But the oDesk rate seems to be fixed. Is it better to leave it as is, or change the price to what the poster is requesting?

I realized this, after I was denyed a job, and then figured out how to change the rate. I donot mind sitting at home, with a 3.00 an hour job. I was turned down due to the fact that I wasn't changing the rate. 3.00 an hour is not what my regular job makes, no, but it is about 32.00 you didn't already have. In the evening one can write articles or other things to make up for it. I'm a weegy expert. That can add up on weekends.
Are you talking about when
Are you talking about when you apply to a job?
If so, then you have the option to set your rate on every job application. The form will recalculate the oDesk fee to be 10% of the total charge rate if you change the rate in the box.
You can apply at your displayed profile rate, higher, or lower. It could be different on every application, but most people try to keep their rates consistent.
As for where to set your rates, that is up to you to decide. But if your rate is higher than others for that job, you'll have to prove why you're worth it.
