Team Room APIs - alpha testers wanted
487 posts - United States - Joined Over the last couple of years, we have gotten many requests for APIs, so people can use oDesk data in their own ways.
We are getting to ready to release our first set of APIs -- they will provide REST access to team room information (who is online right now, 24-hr activity graph, current snapshots) and Work Diary images and data for a given user in a given team on a given day.
I am looking for a handful of people who would like to try out the APIs as an alpha tester. If you are interested, I would love to hear from you!

I think that such API's is first step for affiliating system. Actually I don't mind to try to play with such API's.

Well for this first phase, all of the Team Room APIs are in a specific team room where time is being logged. So if one of your ACs is working in your buyer's team room, you only have access to the team room information if you are also in that team.
Does that make sense?

That makes sense although company managers should have all the privileges that their affiliated contractors (exlusive) have. Right now I need to ask buyers to also hire me so I can check TimeAnalyze for my provider.
Anyway, looking forward to testing the new API! Sign me up.

Yes, can offer better tools for staffing managers, but one note: your buyers don't have to *hire* you -- they can *invite* you as a colleague on their team so you can view their reporting.
