I have used the oDesk tools to track my work time only for a month, and now I would like to track time on my own project outside of the oDesk. The oDesk tools seemed like a best decision, so I looked around a bit but all the time tracking applications I evaluated are either bloated with features or don't provide for example a keyboard shortcut to start/stop tracking or change the current work memo.
Please notice that I'm talking only about time tracking, screen shots would be nice, but I'm not sure such an app exists.

Many people here are aware that I have clients both on and off oDesk. I like to track hours I spend for both. I sometimes do use a team I created on oDesk for just this reason (i.e. you create a team of just you) and use that.
Another option (for non-oDesk work) is WRTime Tracker which I have found to be a very clean one that tracks time only. It is not however a desktop version.

AFAIK the problem with creating a team room is that you don't have weekly reports as long as you don't hire someone (or youself) on the assignment.

You could hire yourself for a $0.01 per hour assignment to take full advantage of all our reporting and time-tracking features (I know of several providers that have done that). I suspect that's significantly cheaper than any other software option you'll find.
You'll want to make it clear in the title of your self-hired job what it's for, so no one gets confused by the rate! Note that the job will not show in your oDesk work history until you've logged 100 hours at $0.01 ($1 total earnings).

Sounds good, and should be cheaper than any other solution, you're right, thank you.
I think I can just create private job opening so nobody will ever see it?

A private job will still appear on your profile (once you've earned $1), it just won't be clickable for details. That's why I advised you give it a descriptive name, like "personal time-tracking" or something.

I use Toggl.com -- I love it. I can have my whole list of non-oDesk clients and all their current projects, and easily toggle from one to another. So, if I'm waiting on feedback or for an answer to a question, I can switch to another job while I wait. If there's an urgent need for one project, I can switch over and take care of it. At the end of the day I have accurate time counts for everyone. I generally use it for hourly billing, but it can be useful for fixed price oDesk jobs as well -- you can tell whether you need to adjust your bid for the next time.

Thanks, I tried that, probably should have spent more time with it, didn't like the UI at first sight.

Try slimtimer.com. It's online so you can use it across multiple computers and you don't need to install anything. It's also free but you can pay to support the developer if you'd like.
