Hello Everyone,
I am new to odesk and find this website rewarding to leverage my professional skills. Will someone assist me, how can I promote and showcase my skills, which will help build trusts and confidence among the potential buyers to venture into my service. My two initial candicacies where severely rejected, just because the buyers feels I am naive to work. However I do possess a ASP.NET skills over the past 3 years. Please advice how I can improve.

I would first of all recommend describing your experience in more details in your oDesk profile. Do not hesitate to include links to and short descriptions of the projects you have completed.
Also, if you are applying to ASP.NET projects, I recommend taking a test in it in addition to Visual Basic test that appears in your profile. Also, do not forget to add information about any certifications and tests results that you may have taken elsewhere, for example, Brainbench.
This should help you to at least get started. Also, check out this community post for some ideas on how to launch your first oDesk job.
