In Beta -- oDesk Team 2.2 for Windows, now a complete desktop team room for both buyers and providers!
We have been working for some time on a new desktop application, that brings your oDesk team to your desktop. This new application is now available in public beta.
Download oDesk Team 2.2 (beta) now!
This new application is not just for providers -- it's for buyers too! In addition to the standard time logging and workstreaming capabilities, the new application visualizes your oDesk Team right on your desktop, giving you constant visibility into your team, who is working and what are they working on. It also includes integrated instant messaging so you can reach your team anytime without opening another IM client. Note that for chat to work, both parties have to be running the new application, so download it today, tell your colleagues about it and get everyone on your team onto the new platform!
We hope you find this upgrade useful. Please send all feedback our way!
Michael
P.S. Sorry, it's only available for Windows for now...

As I mentioned I'm new to oDesk and I'm not sure how you prefer to get feedback so I write here, please delete if this is not the right place
This is my short point of view: The work you have done looks good. The integrated instant messaging is step in the right direction: towards simplification and consolidation. Of course like many other projects there is what to be done, for example consolidation of user profiles, discussions in forums integrated with email, etc.
To me it will be better if there is easier way to delete the last snaphot. Because sometimes may catch sensitive data. For example sometimes on the sceen there are paswords for paypal or clients data for access of sites related to payments. For the moment I see an ambiguous message telling the snapshot will be logged as 'offline'. I need to be sure that sensitive data will not be logged at all. It seems easy to take next snapshot after some time when the passwords are hidden
I looked only at oDesk Time Tracker because I get error message when I try to run oDesk Team Room. This is the error message

Regarding the error message, it looks like you are running Windows 2000 operating system and our primary targets for development were Windows XP and Vista. We will add support for Windows 2000 in the next update of our beta, which should be very soon.
So, your problem should be fixed in next update. Sorry for the inconvenience it have caused.
