I am new to Odesk and wondering about the pay rates. I have just read an ad that says $1.11 per hour and am not sure if this is correct. The ad goes onto say it is a copy & paste assignment, so do they actually mean they will pay $1.11 per copy & paste? What is the average people get paid on odesk for admin type work?

That is indeed the hourly rate. It is up to you to bid what you are worth. If that is the rate specified by the buyer, chances are, you and that buyer would not work well together.
