New here

Hello, I am new to the odesk, and found out about this place from someone on twitter.

Hope to meet some great connections, and start working from home soon.

I also hope to learn from others and share our knowledge of our crafts

Candidacy Page

Hello, I am also new to oDesk. When you apply for a job and it appears on the Candidacy page, there is a column entitled "Change". In this column, "Rate" appears by all the jobs I applied for.

Am I supposed to change my rate? Is there somewhere on the job posting where they declare what the rate is?

Thanks for letting me know. Candy G.

This gives you the option

This gives you the option to change your rate. It's not a requirement, or even a request from the buyer. It's just where you'd go to change it if you wanted to.

Some buyers and providers will negotiate the rate during the interview - that's why it's there.

Test Time Out

Hi, Over the weekend, I attempted to take the Creative Writing test. During the test, we had a severe storm come through Maryland. Hail was bouncing off the house, so I turned off the computer.

If I attempt to take the Creative Writing test again, I am unable to do so until one month from now. Is there anyway to let the oDesk personnel know that the cause was a hardware issue?

Thanks! Candy G.

Please contact Customer

Please contact Customer Support - explain what happened. They can reset the test.
