I checked out the first person on your list. Some middle eastern guy. I DONT SEE ANYTHING on HIS portfolio.
Anyway. Cherio, good from him he got an assignment. wonder if his neighbor's hiring him.

Tsk Tsk thats not nice Jake. it said based in order of completeness there is a diffrence. And his profile was only lacking something in his portfolio. I can ssure you based on the hourly rate of pay it was not his neighbor hireing him.
I have to say Bravo on getting a job that pays decent.

I guess I misconstrued the post. Sigh, your right it wasn't nice and the guy, whomever, wherever he may be didn't deserve my potshot. So sorry about that. Bloody marvelous job of getting the contract.

I have to admit the selection of profiles is somewhat subjective. First of all, I cannot go through all of the profiles of the providers who got their first job, so I do look for those with 90-100% completeness only. There may well be very deserving and interesting profiles that are not complete to that extent.
Please also remember that your chances of getting that first job do not solely depend on your profile. Too often, it is the coverletter that makes it, because it is the coverletter that the Buyers see first and only then decide whether to move to view the profile or not. But puslishing the coverletters that win jobs would be depriving some of the providers of their bread, so we can't really do that.
Good luck with your job search,
Olga

I agree for those who don't understand The Important basics or how to write a cover letter. remember The cover letter on odesk should be Based on the same princibles as the cover letter on your Resume. There are several good articles available on the Web on how to write a Cover letter and Resume.
You might try www.wikihow.com or a few other sites. And no you should not publish some ones Cover Letter especialy without asking.
