There are plenty of others in the same boat.

I know I'm new here but I'm so desperate for any job that I qualify for it is awful. I want feedback and to prove that I am the expert I say I am but nobody is even giving me a shot. Plus, to see the sites that I'm being outbid on is crazy. I bid on a project that would take any expert a week to do, the lowest bid is $200 fixed... Yeah, I'm not that desperate yet.
Good luck though!

I feel ya guy. But after looking at your profile I did not find one thing that would make me pick you over any one else in your field. your tests for instance
Telephone Etiquette Certification 4.30 91% TOP 10% 10/31/2009 30 min
MS Excel 2003 Test 2.90 78% 10/22/2009 29 min
MS Word 2003 Test 3.50 75% 10/05/2009 25 min
oDesk Readiness Test for Independent Contractors and Company Managers
While all good tests, how do they relate to Web site development and your skill and experience in that field? were are the relevant test scores or certifications? you need to add those to stand out! and your portfolio? Everything you have posted there reads as one continous ADD to sell Volusion. None of them clearly define Your Role or envolvement in developing those sites? Did you help design those sites or have any involvment in any way? were is that information listed? It isn't.
I' am not saying any of this to make you mad or hurt your feelings But odesk is a tough market and you have to stand out to make it. you have to be the best at the work you do and you also have to be one hell of a saleseman to sell your services. All that being said if you are good at volusion and redo your provider profile in a manner that truly reflects your skill you will be well in demand with more work then you can handle on odesk and at your price. Theres people in your field on odesk who are making major bucks right now!
