I'm a little surprised I've received not a single bid on a simple rewrite of sales copy in the last 22 hours I've had this job posted. Had the same issue with a Flash Animation job I put up at the same time...Two bids in 10 hours? What's going on here at oDesk?
People complain about not getting work, but no one is bidding on jobs?

That's dismaying! You might want to invite people to apply in addition to making a public posting. I have to admit that I rarely look at the public postings, but I always consider invitations.
I hope you find someone -- I've had great experiences here both as a provider and as a buyer, so I know the system works, but I also see that there's some trial and error involved.
You might also link to your job here -- I'd have gone and looked if you had.

Coming back to clarify -- you can't post jobs here at the forum. I just meant people could look at your posting and let you know if they saw things about the posting itself that could explain the lack of response.

I knew what you meant. I did attempt to invite users (10 in fact), 8 denied and 2 haven't responded yet. Being that I need this by Monday morning, I guess I'm just going to have to bite the bullet, do it myself and take the hit on a closed job in my buyer profile.

I suspect the the problem was that you posted on a Friday afternoon for a job to be completed by Sunday.
I am however quite concerned that you appear to be posting jobs and hiring yourself to do them.

Deadline was Monday as the job stated though I would have liked to have it Sunday. For a 30 minute job, I don't see what the huge deal was with a 72 hours deadline. It is neither here nor there at this point because I already took care of it myself.
I started a help ticket about the hiring issue yesterday and have not received a response as of yet. Thanks for your "concern" maybe someone could get on my ticket now? Also, I'd suggest knocking off the innuendos that I posted a bunch of jobs and hired myself for them, that's simply false accusations.

I just looked at your profile and it does look like you hired yourself. Of course you need to give odesk their 10% but still you are your own provider. So it is not really an innuendo, it seems to be the truth.

As I already stated, I contacted oDesk about it yesterday to fix the problem. No one has gotten back to me yet, but I am patiently waiting for a response. This is also why I have not touched anything to do with that job/assignment...I am waiting for oDesk to fix it for me.
It is in fact false accusations when someone implies that you posted a bunch of jobs and just hired yourself. That in fact is not what happened, however you (and obviously she since she has no knowledge of the ticket) are not privy to those details and should not be implying falsehoods toward me.

Bug or is the truth ? Is it an oDesk bug/glitch or someone's hiring herself for the job she herself posted ? Also there's a 5.0 "Great Work!" Provider-to-Buyer Feedback, which is quite funny since the Provider is also the Buyer
Please clarify this oDesk.
*** EDIT ***
Looks like the issue is now fixed. The "Hired Provider" field under "In Progress" is now blank.

My feedback on both my Provider and my Buyer profile are from clients or providers here on oDesk. The job I'm having issues with is the one linked, which is #4934897, "Rewrite Sales Copy." The "Great Work!" comment in my Provider profile is from Bryan, his Buyer ID being #92949 (mine is #125503) for the job titled "I Need Great Designer/Coders To Make Landing Pages" and is from July!
This is exactly what happens when people type before they do the appropriate research or ask questions!

So where's the apology?
It is not btw, completely fixed yet. It's still showing up under my assignments and the payment area is all screwed up. I'm sure they're working on it though.
