Buyer asking processing fee to get started

Hello guys! A certain buyer was posting job from Odesk, hiring providers
and continue the application process thru emails outside Odesk. Then the buyer is asking the provider to deposit to their paypal account an amount of money which they said as a processing fee in order to get the manuals and instructions in getting started with the job. Is it a reliable practice or a scam? I just need clarifications with this issue, I dont mean to distract any procedures. Thanks

No way to identify topic starter's buyer.

That's absolutely inappropriate and the buyer needs to be reported ASAP so they can be banned. I only hope they are reported before anyone falls for this scam.

Remember: Applying to and getting jobs is totally FREE. Never pay the buyer or any third party to get a job.
