He didn't have much Joomla experience, despite that requirement being emphasised in the job ad and in the pre-hire interview with his company's management. After 5 days of full time work he still hadn't produced any code - he was apparently still finding his way around Joomla. We didn't want to fund someone's learning curve in that way which is why we advertised for a very experienced Joomla developer. Unfortunately that's not what we got. I am not disappointed with Amit so much as I am with his company, who mislead us about his level of experience and put forward someone who couldn't do the job.
