What is a TimeAnalyze report?
The TimeAnalyze report is a summary of your team's hours. When selecting dates, remember that all dates and days are in UTC. You can download all the data for your records or to create custom reports on your own. The downloadable CSV file is compatible with most spreadsheet programs: Excel, OpenOffice, GoogleDocs, etc.
  1. Go to My Jobs > Reports.
  2. Select the TimeAnalyze tab. Choose your team (or yourself) in the top left, if necessary. Only managers have access to team reports.
  3. Set the date range and press the View button or use the Jump to menu. You can choose to view your data grouped in columns by days, weeks or months.
  4. Sort the results by clicking the column headings. Click Show/Hide Columns to choose what information you see. Toggle the view between hours and estimated charges.
  5. To download your data, click the Download as CSV link at the top of your results.
TimeAnalyze reports can show one team at a time (including information about all team members) or show an individual provider's information across all teams. Only managers and admins can see team reports.
Affiliated contractors cannot view estimated charges on their individual TimeAnalyze reports.
How does a buyer use a TimeAnalyze report?
Buyers use TimeAnalyze reports to track their team's hours and tasks. It's a quick and easy way to find out how much time any given user (or the whole team) is logging, how much is offline and who's been working on what task. Drill down to see detailed data by time period, provider and/or task code.
You can opt to view an estimate of charges associated with the time logged (not including adjustments and non-hourly payments). However, this is not an official financial report. Print your timelogs or financial activity for your financial records.
If you've come to an agreement with your provider about how much time can be logged offline, the TimeAnalyze report will help you keep an eye that. We recommend providers keep their offline time to a minimum; it doesn't qualify for guaranteed payment.
How does a provider use a TimeAnalyze report?
Providers use their individual TimeAnalyze reports to look at their own data across all their teams.
If you've come to an agreement with your buyer about how much time can be logged offline, the TimeAnalyze report will help you keep an eye that. We recommend keeping offline time to a minimum; it doesn't qualify for guaranteed payment.
There's time in my team members' work diaries not included on my report. Why is that?
All billable time is included in the TimeAnalyze report whether it was online or offline (time can take up to a day to show on the report).
The following may be shown in your team members' work diaries, but are unbilled and therefore not included in TimeAnalyze reports:
  • Time over the weekly limit.
  • Time in a fixed-price assignment's work diary.
  • Time logged by colleagues, managers and admins without assignments.
To take advantage of our full task-tracking and reporting capabilities, you'll need to hire all your team members for hourly assignments on oDesk.
