My Tests
All oDesk providers must pass the oDesk Readiness Test.
You cannot apply to job openings unless you are oDesk Ready. This open
book test is designed as a tutorial to help familiarize users with
oDesk policies and practices. (effective June 4, 2008)
oDesk offers more than 100 free skill tests. Providers are encouraged to take these tests to prove their skills to buyers. You may take as many tests as you'd like, and retake tests (after a waiting period) to improve your score.
You can control which tests you make public on your profile. We recommend you follow these guidelines in deciding which tests to show:
| Score | Rating | Recommendation |
| Over 4.5 | Outstanding | Make Public |
| 4.0-4.4 | Very good | Make Public |
| 3.5-3.9 | Good | Make Public |
| 3.0-3.4 | OK | Make Public |
| 2.5-2.9 | Barely Passing |
Make Private (unless Top 10 or 20 Percent badge earned) |
| Under 2.5 | Failing |
Made Private Automatically |
Exceptions:
- Always show your highest scoring English Test (Sentence Structure). Many buyers will not interview or hire you unless they can see your score on that test.
- Never show more than one of the same test. If you've retaken a test, only leave the highest scoring one public. It doesn't happen automatically.
You may update your base your test privacy at any time. Learn more about taking tests and recommended tests.
1. Go to My oDesk -> Get Hired -> My Tests.

2. You have the option to search by test category, status, minimum score, and minimum percentile. This will narrow the list of tests shown at the bottom of the page. If you've taken a lot of tests, this can be very helpful.
3. In the List box, you'll see all your tests, or only those that meet the search criteria from your search. Click on any heading to sort the tests.
