Provider Profile Access / Visibility

You may update your profile access setting at any time to control who can see your profile. Please note that staffing managers control affiliated contractors' profile visibility in the Staffing Manager Console.

1. Go to My oDesk -> Profile & Settings -> My Provider Profile.




2. Press the Edit button in the 'My Public Profile' boxbr>


3. Select one of the following options from the Profile Access drop-down menu:

  • Public - No privacy, anyone (buyers, providers, and non-members) can see your profile.
  • Authenticated users - Some privacy, only oDesk buyers logged into the system can see your profile. You'll appear in search results for logged in buyers only.
  • Private - Maximum privacy, your profile is only available to buyers if you apply to their job posting or are a member of their team. You won't appear in search results for anyone.


4. Press the Save button at the top or bottom of the 'My Public Profile' box to apply your changes.
