oDesk Fees
Every time a buyer makes a payment (hourly rate, bonus, and fixed price), 90% goes to the provider and 10% goes to the oDesk Service Fee. All rates in provider profiles and on job assignments are displayed inclusive of this service fee. The service fee is always 10% of the total payment.
Hourly Payments:

The 'Charge Rate' is the amount that the buyer would pay and the 'Pay Rate' is what the provider would receive.
Bonus Payments:

The 'Charged Amount' is the amount that the buyer would pay and the 'Bonus Amount' is what the provider would receive.
Fixed Price Payments:

The 'Charge Amount' is how much the buyer would pay and 'Your Bid' is how much the provider would receive.
*Note: The paid amount is usually, but not always the same as the accepted bid amount. In some cases, buyers may choose to pay out more or less than the originally agreed amount based on the actual work performed
