What is Share on Twitter?
The oDesk share on Twitter widget allows you to safely share between oDesk and Twitter. Sharing on Twitter allows you to publish interesting and relevant information (like jobs you posted or tests you've taken) to your followers on Twitter.
You always have total control over what is shared on Twitter. You will be shown the exact text that will go to Twitter and have a chance to edit (or cancel) the message before publishing.
What information will be shared on Twitter?
You can share jobs you posted on oDesk, updates to your profile and test results. Before any of this information is shared you will see the exact text and have an opportunity to approve or reject the post before it appears in your feed on Facebook.
Along with this text will be a link to the location of the page you are sharing. In order to stay within Twitter's 140 character limit we are using bit.ly to shorten and share the URL.
How does Share on Twitter work?
  1. Click a Share on Twitter button.
  2. You will be directed to Twitter.com where you will need to sign in or connect your Twitter account to oDesk. After signing in you will be redirected back to oDesk where the widget will now display the text of what will be shared.

When you publish an item the result looks like this:

How do I disconnect my Twitter account from my oDesk account?
You can disconnect your Twitter account from your oDesk account anytime. You are also welcome to add the same or a new Twitter account if you decide to use the Share on Twitter feature again in the future.
  1. Go to Profile > Account Integration.
  2. Click the Disconnect link in the Twitter Connect Summary.
Only one Twitter account can be connected to your oDesk account at a time. But you may add, change or remove it whenever you wish.
Will oDesk add more sharing options in the future?
Yes - if our users want them. If there's a sharing option you'd like to see added, just let us know what it is, we'd love to hear from you!
