Weekly Availability

Your weekly availability is calculated from your the base availability you set in your profile (in hours) minus the total number of hours that you worked (over all assignments) during the previous 7 days. This statistic is automatically generated and cannot be manually altered.

For example, let's say you've set your availability to 40 hours per week. You've worked 25 hours on oDesk assignments in the past 7 days. Your availability will be displayed as 15 of 40 hours. However, if you have no active assignments (in case a job was just completed), it would be displayed as 40 of 40 hours.


You may update your base availability at any time. If you're going to be unavailable (on vacation, for example) for a specific date range, that would be considered a 'leave'. You can learn more about setting leave info here.

1. Go to My oDesk -> Profile & Settings -> My Provider Profile.




2. Press the Edit button in the 'My Public Profile' box


3. Select the maximum number of hours per week you could work from the Availability drop-down menu.


4. Press the Save button at the top or bottom of the 'My Provider Profile' box to apply your changes.
