Manage Your Work
Once professionals get hired, they get notified by oDesk that a buyer has selected them to work on an assignment with an Assignment Started email. The Assignment Started email includes the following information:
- Project Start Date
- Project Name
- Engagement (number of hours per week)
- Company ID (needed to log into the company's oDeskTeam account as shown below)

- URLs for Bugzilla, the SVN Repository, and the Mailing List
- Customer Contact Information
- Customer Time Zone
If you are the Affiliate Manager for your firm, make sure that the developers needed to work on this assignment have each received their own respective Assignment Started email.
We recommend that you email the buyer when you receive this email to re-introduce yourself and thank him or her for the assignment.
If the project start date is in the future, do not begin working on the project unless the buyer gives specific instructions to begin early.
