User Referral Program Terms and Conditions
- Only Buyers, Freelance Providers and Provider Company Managers are eligible to participate in oDesk's Referral Program. Affiliated Contractors are not eligible to participate in the Referral Program.
- The referral awards are paid only for new Buyer, Freelance Provider or Provider Company Manager accounts. No referral fees are paid for Affiliated Contractors.
- The referral awards are paid only for users tracked through the referral links and emails. Users who sign up and cannot be tracked through those links will not be eligible for a referral award.
- If the referred user is a current oDesk user and is operating under a different username or has worked with oDesk at any given time in the past, no referral fees will be paid. oDesk reserves the right to verify identity of its users and investigate any fraudulent registrations.
- Referral awards are paid only if the hours or fixed price charge is paid through oDesk. The entire transaction must take place through the oDesk site. If the work and payment is contested, rejected, or the payment has to be refunded at any time, no referral fees will be paid. If a referral payment is made and the registration is found to be fraudulent, oDesk will bill the party for the amount previously awarded.
- Payment delivery details:
- The oDesk link may not be placed in a website with offensive, objective or defamatory content which may adversely affect the reputation of oDesk. The oDesk link may not be placed in a website advertising oDesk competitors. Doing so will invalidate the referral.
- oDesk maintains the right at its sole discretion to refuse payment of referral awards as part of its Referral Program for any reason.
- oDesk reserves the right to change the Referral Program or the referral award structure at its discretion. Consequent referral program changes will apply to all referral award after such changes are made, even for users referred prior to the changes.
- oDesk retains the right to terminate the program at any time at its discretion.
