I'm looking for someone who enjoys dong online and/or offline research (may require time spent at a library if located in the U.S.). I'm looking for someone who is literate in reading and writing English, pays attention to detail and can provide accurate information. (This can lead into a long-term possition.)
This particular job has two parts: Research Area #1: Demographic research: I need information about business owners whose businesses have an annual revenue of between 10 and 50 million dollars a year, who are either babyboomers (of retirement age between now and the next five to seven years) or who have employees who are babyboomers. No corporations - info about business owners of privately held companies or partnerships only. Business can be any industry, located anywhere in the U.S. Give me demographics, psychographics, socio and economic, etc.
Research Area #2: I want information about what preparation should be done before someone gets ready to sell a business, to make the business as valuable as possible. Include the following information: necessary steps, how are businesses valued, what paperwork is involved, problems, barriers, obstacles, best practices, etc.
If you don't have previous experience doing research, please do not apply for this job. The research I need is very specific and should be fairly simple for someone who knows what they're doing - but will be time consuming if you don't, and I'm not willing to pay while you learn.
