Slides for a Flash-based e-Learning application


Adventis:Digital urgently require a team of people to produce slides for a Flash based application we are building. We are looking for up to 12 people for this job in order to meet an extremely tight deadline. You must be available to work for the whole of this weekend.

In brief

The project is a Flash 8 compatible eLearning training application for the client's employees. The product will report back to the database such statistics as:
  • The username of the user
  • How many questions the user answered correctly on that slide
  • How much time was spent on that slide by the user
The project in total has 6 learning modules, however we will only be handing 4 modules over to oDeskers. In each module there are up to 14 sections. Each section has approximately 3-5 screens. This means there are at most 60 sections for you to work on

The Flash interface is controlled by a shell .fla and each section is one .swf file.

Phase 1

Of the 6 modules we are working on the first two. The first batch of work you will have will be 2 modules, to be delivered by Monday 9th June 2008 at 10:00 BST, which is 09:00 GMT.

The next phase is the further 2 modules. These modules will need to be delivered by Tuesday 10th June 2008 at 12:00 BST, which is 11:00 GMT.

Coding

It is important to note that the ActionScript functions to interact with the database have already been written. Successful candidates will only have to call predefined functions on the slides.

Creativity

You must be able to create slide transitions similar to those we have already created.

 We will provide:
  • Working examples of the sections
  • The Flash template within which to work
  • PSDs to show you the design
  • Standard objects to drop into the slides

Who we are looking for

We estimate that we will need approximately 12 oDeskers to produce the slides. We estimate that there are 150 hours worth of work to be completed for the first phase. The second phase should take 200 hours.

If you represent a team of 6 Flash developers and you can commit your whole team to the project let me know. Any one of these situations would be acceptable:
  • We hire 12 independent contractors who are not affiliated with anyone
  • We hire 6 independent contractors and an affiliated team of 6 people
  • We hire an affiliated team of 12 people.

Your experience

You must have already worked on database driven Flash projects of this size and with this level of complexity on oDesk.
