This job was billed as a simple html page for mailing purposes. A short three - four hour job. I worked off the company's psd file and was not given any further information.
When I did hear from the client they wanted something completely different. And sent a second image to work from.

I really tried to make this work, and made sure everything LOOKED exactly the way it should with the exception of border (which was not going to be sent via email and was a simple one line change) and made sure this conformed to their expectations. Conforming to mail standards so that this would look the same in any browser.

In fairness, I am not accepting payment for this particular job and do not plan to do any further work for this company as I could not give them what they wanted.

We are looking for ongoing assistance in creating HTML emails. Any HTML work must be tested and appear consistently in the following email clients:

Outlook 2003 & 2007
Gmail (online)
Hotmail (online)

It is extremely important that any email templates produced display exactly the same in each of the above email clients. If you cannot confirm that your work renders consistently within these email programs, please do not apply to this post.
