I am a designer with a prospect who has asked me about the price on a logo. She's a friend of  a friend, I reviewed her website in a teleclass and she's interviewing me for her business next week, so this is a very warm lead, but not a guaranteed job.

If she works with us, here's how I'd see the process:
  • You let me know what additional info you need to design the logo. I'd supply her website and comments on her existing strategy and colors. I might have some additional ideas on concepts.
  • Either you could send me 3 concepts or we could just start by sharing some fonts and ideas with her for input before you develop the concepts.
  • We'd get her to narrow to one for refinement.
  • I handle all client interface and get back to you.
  • Final files in 3 sizes, one group web compatible and one for print. Delivery to me of these plus Adobe Illustrator original.
  • Also black & white version and reverse (white / light for dark background).
 
About a two week timeframe to complete with some flex.

I am looking for an ongoing partner for logo design, so if this works well, there would be opportunities for additional work.

I've left this as an hourly job because I want to get your estimate rather than provide a budget. When giving your hourly rate, please include in your message how many hours you anticipate and therefore a total fixed rate for the project. We'll work out whether to pay it hourly through this post or whether I'll repost it with a fixed number. Hope that's okay.

Your logo portfolio is key. I'm happy to review either on Odesk or at your outside site.
