We are looking for a skilled person skilled in C#, MS SQL to fill a permanent part-full time position on our development team. We would like the applicant to demonstrate their debugging ability and attention to detail. Neotechnology is the proud manufacturer of Amicus which is a point of sale and business management system - http://www.neotechnology.com.au/amicus

Amicus core is developed in C++ using the Win32 API (i.e. not MFC) and has a MS SQL backend. The newer parts of Amicus are in fact written in C#/.NET however we consider skill in this language secondary to C++ as C# is easy by comparison. Knowledge of Devexpress controls, in particular the XtraGrid control is a plus.

In this position you will be required to develop some new areas of functionally or bug fix some old areas. Knowledge of C++ is however an advantage.

The position is an on going full time position.

As the successful applicant will need to work on our source code, if successful you will be required to work via Windows Terminal Services (Remote Desktop) on a server we provide. This server will be fully equipped with all the necessary software licences and tools to perform the development. You will not be able to work on the source code in your own environment under any circumstances. You will not be able to remove content to work offline.This is to protect our IP. The successful applicant will thus need to have full time access to a very fast and reliable broadband connection and a windows vista machine or better (Windows XP is not acceptable), all costs of which should be covered in your bid. You must be willing to work in this style of arrangement.
