Nirvanix, Google App Engine, Django Project

Small liberal arts college needs an experienced and creative Python developer to complete an interesting project using Django, Google App Engine/Big Table, and Nirvanix. We want to create a video upload and conversion system using these tools. I know you are thinking that can't be that hard because Nirvanix has a REST API but here is where the trick comes in. We want someone that can create a system that does three things:

  1. Upload Files Directly to Nirvanix Account (this is not an option since you can't write to the filesystem on Google App Engine).
  2. This system cannot expose the upload token (uploadToken)  or destination folder to the end user (i.e. the end user shouldn't be able to click "view source" and see the upload token or destination folder)
  3. Must be secure.

How your bid can stand out in the crowd.

  1. Highlight your related work. Have you worked with Django, App Engine, or Nirvanix (I would really highlight this one).
  2. Ask relevant questions.
  3. In your bid highlight how you plan to tackle this project. What do you know that we don't know?
  4. Give me a clear estimated timeline.
