Urban Influence Design Studio, inc. (http://www.urbaninfluence.com) is currently seeking a part-time to full-time Ruby / Rails developer to provide on-going support to an existing application. We are a small team of passionate advertising and technology specialists who are seeking talented developers who love what they do. This position would begin as a contract position ranging from 15-30 hours per month, but has the potential to scale into a full-time position working on one of several long-term projects currently in development.

Roles & Responsibilities:
As a member of our close-knit team, you will be responsible for maintenance and updates to several of our client’s RoR websites. We will also rely on you to identify key areas where performance of the application may be improved and then propose solutions to address them. Additionally, you will be responsible for the following:

•    Working closely with Urban Influence team to enact SEO improvements to content
•    Website deployment via Capistrano
•    Creation of lead generation pages which will integrate with our client’s existing lead handling architecture 
•    Potentially helping us port existing PHP applications into our new Rails environment

Requirements:
•    At least 5 years experience developing mid-sized to enterprise-scale applications
•    Experience creating and deploying Rails 2.0+ applications
•    Demonstrated familiarity with Capistrano
•    Experience working with nginx
•    Experience with either TDD or BDD styles of development
•    Proficient in building XHTML / CSS with regards to common standards and practices
•    Previous experience with PHP a huge plus
