I want to create a web site which will allow me, and other users, the ability to perform a backup of various social web sites. The initial sites will likely be Flickr, Facebook, Twitter, Delicious and possibly Gmail. I would like to backup data to a server (Amazon s3 is possible), the user can then download their data via a zip file (need to generate the zip).
There will have to be a quota limit, say 5g. Users will be able to come to the web site and create an account and specify the services they want to backup, enter API credentials, etc.
I would like something very easy to use, nothing complicated.
This web site will be written in Ruby on Rails (2.3.3) and whatever plugins and gems can be used to facilitate getting the job done. I would like to be notified of the proposed gems as the project progresses.
Further details needed? Please ask. |
