ERO-MIT Lab is looking for a CSS person to reformat a website using CSS, HTML/XHTML, and Javascript.   The coder will create a style sheet for each page and a style guide.    The website is dynamically controlled by a php script after submission.   The coder is NOT responsible for any php code.   The page does contain lots of tables and javascript.  The goal is for the coder to allow css and styles sheets to have complete control over the style of the hypertext documents.   Thus the php can change the style sheet and the HTML markup would not have to change.  We want minimal to no table usage, but want to keep the functionality of the javascript unless the changes can be taken over by pure CSS.   One thing that will be changed in the content of the pages is the coder will add adsense areas on every page.   The adsense areas should not detract from the flow of the page, but allow adsense content to be placed in web pages.   We would like to see as much CSS1 as possible. CSS2 should be limited to widely-supported elements only.  The css Zen Garden is a perfect example of the type of stylesheet control we would like to see.   This is a redesign of a website and we think that there will be approximately 3 pages.   Please contact us for further information and the link to the website.   We are looking for someone to:
-write beautiful hand-coded XHTML/CSS (no dreamweaver wysiwyg editors, programmer friendly)
- Brings the markup to the highest level.
 - W3C Valid XHTML code validation.
- Complete Presentational Separation techniques.
- Understand and troubleshoot Javascript
ROLE DEFINITION: Under general direction you will re-design, re-develop and produces a new Web Site. and related materials to support the programs needs.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO: Head of Company
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  The only thing we need to see is an example of previous work (either commissioned or at final draft stage).  We need to see is that you know what you are doing and can make a website look great!  Be 100% honest with us and we will be 100% honest with you.
YOU WILL NEED KNOWLEDGE OF:  Color theory, layout and design principles, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), typography, Inter/Intranet, Web browsers; and W3C code validation. You will also need Knowledge of: Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) CSS JavaScript.  The website *must* be fully compatible with Firefox and IE. You must be able to communicate effectively in both oral and written form; compose and edit written materials; explain technical concepts in non-technical terms.
