OVERVIEW

The Weinstein Organization “TWO”, a direct marketing advertising agency in Chicago is currently looking for a Senior-level WordPress Web Designer to re-design an existing client WordPress website (around 21 pages). As the sol Web Designer, in a small agency setting, you will be responsible for planning and executing all design stages, while also handling the WordPress development. We are looking for a self guided designer that has excellent visual design skills with high attention to detail. This is an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills and contribute to the success of our project; while possibility opening up the door to additional projects in the future.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 4 years’ experience as a WordPress Web Designer or similar role

• Link to portfolio showcasing a diverse range of Wordpress website projects and any other related projects


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and deliver a high-quality website in WordPress that is visually appealing, engages the target audience, drives web traffic, and provides an optimal user experience based on the client’s needs and expectations

• Create conceptual wireframes, design mockups/prototypes, strategic user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas

• Employ site animation and special effects to create a compelling user experience in Wordpress

• Create and implement design elements such as graphics, images, and multimedia content (if necessary)

• Optimize website for speed and performance while also implementing search engine optimization (SEO)

• Test and improve site usability and performance on a variety of browsers and devises such as tablets and smart phones

• Responsible of being up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies

• Work within Client Brand guidelines, best practices and standards

• Collaborate directly with our Creative Director and Project Managers to understand their requirements and goals


SKILLS

• Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, builders and plugins

• Excellent visual design skills with high attention to detail

• Knowledge of HTML and CSS if customization is required

• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines and to supply quick-turn around revisions (if necessary)

• Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

• Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on the project’s success

• Work well with minimum supervision while also having strong interpersonal skill


SOFTWARE PROFICIENCIES

•  WordPress core, themes, builders and plugins (WP Bakery Page Builder experience a plus)

•  Figma (or other similar conceptual tools)

•  Knowledge of graphics software such as Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)

• Ability to work remote (Central Time preferred, but not required)

• English Level: Native or Bilingual
