Kim is very demanding and not specific in what she wants. I think she's a great person but not effective in her delivery and communication. It seems as if she expects you to be by your computer 7 days a week, 24 hours a day in case she has something for you to do. She does not understand that everything can not be done "now" as she wants. One example: she gave me a short story (20 pages) to edit and proofread for her. This was sent in a PDF format. She wanted it done by the next morning and I got it late in the day. So first off, no it would not be done by morning. I reviewed the document and had to convert it to a Word doc so I could edit it. The entire book had to practically be rewritten by me because the sentence structure and language was all incorrect. I revised this book over two days and returned it to her. She also notified me late in the evening that she wanted her payment buttons to be switched to PayPal buttons. This was on a Saturday night. I do not work on the weekends as I have a family. However, I have taken time to do things for Kim on the weekends (mistake #1). However, I did not have all the information I needed so I went to bed. I got up the next morning and received a nasty email about how I didn't do my job and I was fired. Considering I was doing her a favor by even looking at her work on the weekend, I was highly upset. I am not bashing Kim in anyway but only letting others know what to expect. As a person she is very nice but as a business woman, she needs some lessons on business etiquette. I wish her all the best in whatever she does and honestly, she did me a favor by ending the assignment. I have other clients who I've had for a long time that never treat me or anyone else this way and who have stated I am "the best" assistant they have ever had". I work with television stars who aren't this demanding. I can't sit by my computer all day waiting for someone to send me an assignment. I have a life.
